GLOBALIZATION; EYES
WIDE SHUT to EYES WIDE OPEN
This program provides
children and adults with an overview of the origins of the universe,
solar system, earth, the ecosystems of earth, life on earth, human
beings and the spread of humanity worldwide. It also presents an
overview of the peoples, cultures, languages, religions, families,
countries, economic and social systems, cities and challenges facing
humanity, with particular attention to the inequalities faced by women,
children and minorities.

POCKET PAMPHLET is being designed for each of the ABC programs.
Pocket
Primers are 4x6 inch pamphlets with thirty questions and
answers, each answer about 250 words. They can be useful to
classrooms, families or community organizations that wish to better
understand and discuss the issues of violence, racism and poverty.
The thirty question and answer format will allow the primer to be utilized
on a daily basis for the period of a month, discussing one question and
answer daily. Each will be English-Spanish Bilingual. Each
will be developed through a series of meetings with classes and other
organizations to discuss both relevant questions and answers. Each
can be accompanied by an hour long power point presentation of the thirty
questions and answers.
4- MAKE
A MINUTE FOR PEACE

This initiative outlines a daily opportunity for
individuals, families or classrooms to recognize 1) the day in the history of
peace, 2) recognize one peacemaker, and 3) exercise a
promise based on the United
Nations Nobel Peace Prize Laureates Manifesto 2000, which has been signed
by more than sixty million people worldwide.
